Short answer
Quijano's Painting works across Atlanta, GA and the surrounding towns in DeKalb, Gwinnett, Fulton, Cobb and Rockdale counties, with a page for each of the 36 places we paint most. Tucker, where our office is, sits about 15 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta, so Decatur, Stone Mountain, Lilburn, Chamblee and Doraville are the closest towns.

Five counties, all scheduled from Tucker
Our coverage runs across five counties. DeKalb County, home to our Tucker office, was created in 1822 but stayed largely farmland until the 1960s. Gwinnett County to the northeast has grown fast since the 1970s, so most of its houses are now at the age for a full repaint, often to an HOA color list. Fulton County holds Atlanta itself and the north Fulton cities, Cobb County lies west across the Chattahoochee River, and Rockdale County, east along I-20, is the second smallest county in Georgia.

Tucker and the towns closest to the office
These are the places nearest our 4th Street office. In Tucker the usual house is a 1950s to 1970s brick ranch or split-level. Decatur, incorporated in 1823, adds Craftsman bungalows and Victorians, some with plaster walls inside. Stone Mountain keeps a historic district of Queen Anne and Craftsman houses, Lilburn grew from a railroad town founded in 1890, and Chamblee and Doraville are full of postwar ranches, including the 700 houses built in Doraville's Northwoods during the 1950s.

East toward Snellville, Stonecrest and Conyers
East of Tucker the houses get newer. Snellville is mostly detached single-family homes built from the 1970s through the 2000s, Stonecrest became a city after a 2016 vote and is largely late 20th and early 21st century, and Conyers mixes 2000s subdivisions and rentals with the older houses of its Olde Town district. Decks, fences, siding and builder-grade interiors are the usual surfaces on houses of that age.

North and northeast, from Brookhaven to Lawrenceville
Brookhaven became a city in 2012, though its houses span about a century, and next door LaVista Park, annexed by Brookhaven in 2019, mixes midcentury ranches with rebuilt homes. Dunwoody boomed in the 1970s, Peachtree Corners grew as a planned community from the late 1960s, and Norcross keeps a National Register historic district beside its newer neighborhoods. Farther out, Duluth is mostly two-story houses from the 1980s and 1990s, and Lawrenceville, the Gwinnett County seat, has a large share of rented homes.

North Fulton and Cobb, from Sandy Springs to Smyrna
Only about a third of the homes in Sandy Springs are detached houses; the rest are townhomes, condos and apartments. Roswell pairs 1980s subdivisions with a historic district listed in 1974, while Johns Creek and Alpharetta were built largely in the 1990s, when tall foyers and big kitchens were standard. West in Cobb County, Marietta has six historic districts and many rentals, and Smyrna runs from its first neighborhood, Williams Park, to rows of townhomes.

Atlanta neighborhoods north and east of Midtown
The city neighborhoods we cover sit mostly north and east of Midtown. Ansley Park, developed from 1905, and Peachtree Heights, substantially built by 1940, are full of wood porches, trim and plaster. Garden Hills began in 1925 with Tudor and Colonial Revival homes, Brookwood Hills was built in phases from 1922, and Sherwood Forest, established in 1949, mixes modern and traditional houses. Farther north, Chastain Park and North Buckhead hold midcentury ranches and new construction, Lindridge-Martin Manor is a postwar ranch neighborhood, and Druid Hills, the Olmsted-designed suburb, is a city Landmark District where exterior changes can need approval.

If your town is not listed here
The places above are the ones we paint most, not a hard border. If your house is somewhere else in metro Atlanta, call and give us the address. If it is farther than we can schedule well, we will tell you on that call rather than book a walk-through we cannot keep.
Every job, wherever it is, starts the same way: a call, a walk-through at the house and a written scope before any work begins.
Questions
Questions about where we work
No. The City of Brookhaven annexed LaVista Park in 2019; before that it was unincorporated DeKalb County. Many houses there still carry Atlanta mailing addresses.
Yes. In places such as Druid Hills, Decatur, Stone Mountain and Marietta, exterior changes can need a certificate before work starts. We point out what to ask the city, and the paint plan waits for its answer.
Yes, including townhome exteriors repainted on an association color schedule and interiors in condos that follow building rules on hours and access.
DeKalb County. The office is at 2321 4th St in downtown Tucker, about 15 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta.
