LaVista Park, Brookhaven
LaVista Park house painting, ranches to new builds
LaVista Park houses carry Atlanta mailing addresses, but since 2019 the neighborhood has been part of the City of Brookhaven. On its streets, original midcentury ranches stand next to renovations and brand-new homes.

Short answer
LaVista Park has been part of the City of Brookhaven, not Atlanta, since a 2019 annexation; before that it was unincorporated DeKalb County. Its median year built is 1955, with ranches and bungalows on large lots, many now renovated or replaced, so jobs here run from repainting original brick and trim to finishing new houses.
Homes in LaVista Park
Midcentury ranches, big lots and a lot of rebuilding
Before 2019, LaVista Park was listed among the neighborhoods of DeKalb County's unincorporated North Druid Hills area, east of the Fulton County line and west of Briarcliff Road. In 2019 the Brookhaven City Council voted unanimously to annex it, 676 parcels and about 2,000 residents, in what the city called the largest annexation using the 60% method in Georgia history. The mailing addresses still read Atlanta.
The housing started as mid- to late-century ranches and bungalows, with a median year built of 1955, on large lots along wide, tree-covered streets. Homes.com notes that most of those original houses have since been renovated or torn down and replaced with modern and transitional homes.
That turnover splits the painting work in two. On an original ranch, the job is usually the wood, meaning fascia, soffits, window trim and siding gables, plus brick that is either left natural or coated, and interiors that may need ceiling or cabinet work. On a renovated or new house, it is finish work on fresh drywall and trim, or a first repaint once the builder's coat wears.

Scheduling
How we line up a LaVista Park walk-through
LaVista Park work is scheduled from our Tucker office like every other job. Call at any hour and tell us whether it is an original ranch, a renovation or a new build. For a builder, we work from your timeline and come in once drywall and trim are set. For an older house, we walk it with you, then plan exterior days around dry weather.

Questions
Painting questions from LaVista Park
No. The neighborhood was annexed into the City of Brookhaven in 2019, and before that it was unincorporated DeKalb County. Houses there still use Atlanta mailing addresses, which is why many people think of it as Atlanta.
Yes. We paint new construction for builders and owners, following the build schedule and returning for touch-ups after the final walk-through.
Limewash suits brick that has never been painted or sealed, and it wears softly over time. Brick that already has paint needs a masonry or mineral paint instead.
Yes. Fresh wall and trim colors and painted cabinets can modernize a midcentury interior without moving a wall.
