Interior and exterior painting in Fulton County

Fulton is the most populous of the five counties we paint in. Kitchens, tall entries and long runs of trim are where a repaint in its newer suburban houses takes the most care.

Homes in Fulton County

Short answer

Fulton County counted 1,066,710 residents in the 2020 Census, and in its county school district area half of all homes, 50.0%, were built between 1970 and 1999, with another 36.9% built in 2000 or later. Painting here often means interiors, cabinets and trim, plus exterior repaints on siding and brick.

Homes in Fulton County

Fulton houses by decade, and what each one needs

Fulton takes in Atlanta and, to the north, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta and Johns Creek, and it kept adding people after the last census: an estimated 1,098,791 lived in the county by July 2025, in 534,663 housing units.

In the Fulton County School District area, just 13.1% of homes date from before 1970, 66.6% of housing is houses rather than apartments, and 66.2% of families own their home. A house from the 1980s usually needs its trim recaulked and its stained wood refreshed. A house from the 2000s often still has builder flat paint on the walls, the kind that marks the first time anyone wipes it.

Those newer homes are where cabinet painting and tall foyers come in. Oak and maple kitchens take paint well once they are degreased, sanded and primed with a bonding coat, and a two-story entry or great room needs planks or a lift rather than an extension pole. Outside, fiber cement and brick fronts need less prep than old wood, but the trim still decides how long the job lasts.

Scheduling

How a Fulton County job gets on the calendar

Tell us the city and the rooms or sides of the house when you call, and we come out from our Tucker office to walk it with you before any dates are booked. Cabinet jobs run in two parts: doors and drawers come off for spraying while the frames are painted in place, so the kitchen schedule is settled before we start.
